Tarry: Pray Before You Scroll

"Tarry ye here, and watch with me." — In Gethsemane, Jesus asked his friends to stay present for one hour. Tarry asks your phone for one moment.

You already reach for your phone a hundred times a day. Tarry turns a few of those reaches into something else — not a lock, a pause.

Choose the apps that pull hardest. When you open one, Tarry meets you with a short prayer — Scripture on a quiet, candle-lit screen — before you decide what happens next. Continue to your app, or stay with the pause. Both are always allowed. Nothing is ever shamed.

A RHYTHM, NOT A RESTRICTION
• Pray at the hours that already mean something: Morning, Midday, Vespers, Compline — gentle invitations, never nags
• Choose your firmness: Gentle (30s, skippable), Focused (40s), or Deep (90s)

ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE DISCLOSURE
Tarry uses Android's AccessibilityService API so it knows the moment you open one of the apps you chose, and can meet you with the prayer pause right then. It reads only the package name of the app coming to the foreground. It cannot read the content of your screen, anything you type, your passwords, or your messages — the service is declared without permission to retrieve window content. Nothing it observes ever leaves your device. You grant this yourself in Android Settings, and you can revoke it at any time.

Tarry is free. Missing a day is not an error. Locking your phone counts too.
